• Max: 6,000 words (fiction) / 4,000 words (essays).
• Double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman.
• Include word count.
• No name on the manuscript.
• Cover sheet: name, location, email, short bio (≤300 words), and any links (website, Substack, IG, FB).

Violence and sex can belong in literature when they serve story, deepen character, or reveal a world. Gratuitous spectacle? Not here.

At the moment, TTDF has a single reader/editor. That means fast decisions. Our goal is a 7–10 day turnaround: an email letting you know if your piece is accepted, declined, or held for a future slot.

Publication cadence: 1–3 new pieces weekly, depending on length and volume.

Please send only polished work, and while we accept most genres, at this time, no fantasy, sci-fi, or romance. TTDF asks only for first publication rights. All rights remain with author.
